Saturday 25th October was the 8th Italian Linux Day.
This year the linux day in my city (Padova) was really great: we had a lot of interesting presentations, a lot of people and children (we had a really nice children area). 🙂
The event was hosted by a school so students and teachers were allowed to visit us and to watch our presentations.
In the morning I had a presentation about KDE 4: I talked about what is KDE, its history, oxygen, plasma, etc… then after the presentation I started to play with KDE 4 and I showed to everyone KDE 4’s coolness.
In the afternoon a PC with an updated trunk was available to anyone and by the evening we finished all kubuntu CDs 😀

New calendar widget moved to kdereview
Finally today I moved the new calendar widget to kdereview.
This new widget is based on a nuno‘s mockup and it will be usable by any plasma application that needs a calendar (it will be part of libplasma).
One of my aims is to write something that is highly customizable so it will be possible to do cool things like integration with akonadi.
I’m planning to continue to work on it and to add some new features like ToolTip support so if you have any ideas, please email me 😉
